Hello Nevi :] I recently got Photoshop and since (imo) your editing is great, I just wanted to know which tools you use to redraw the hair for example… And also, did you learn how to use Photoshop by yourself or you saw some tutorials on the Internet?

Hey Micky! =) I usually use the line tool to redraw hair and play around with the fill (depends if the lines are grey or black), but that’s really just my preference. You have to practice with the line tool a lot but after some time you get a feeling when it comes to line length and angles. You can also use the brush or the pencil.
I learnt everything by myself, I’m not really watching/following tutorials or anything, though those can be really helpful when you’re not sure how to do something. But generally, for redrawing you’ll want to use layers, line tool, clone tool and eventually lasso tool when you want to copy/paste just some parts of a picture. =)
And don’t worry about asking questions, I’ll take the time to answer them. I know it’s a little difficult when you’re just starting to edit but you’ll find it easier after some time. Just keep going!

Hey Nevi ^-^ Sorry but I have another question x) Do you have any idea how to remove the shadow due to the scanner? I tried to level the picture but the resultat isn’t very nice… And I don’t want to crop it too much :s

Glad you figured it out :D, depending on what the gutter shadow is covering I always use different techniques to get rid of it (clone tool, line tool, brush or pencil), but 99% of our books are debinded, so there’s no shadow. =)

Hi, I just thought I’d pop in to say your group is amazing. It seems scanlation groups come and go so quickly but your group’s been around since 2003 (correct me if I’m wrong). Keep it up!
Just out of mere curiosity, are any of the original members still around? That’s an incredibly long time to persist with scanlation, with anything in fact.

Hi! Actually the only remaining original member is Cheebs. I’ve been around since 2009. :D And you’re definitely right, it’s been a long time for SH, it’ll be the 10th anniversary next year. =)
