Goodbye Hadashi de Bara wo Fume
Recently it has come to my attention that one of projects has been licensed by Viz (the company that publishes the Shoujo Beat label). As such, Starry Heaven will be dropping this project starting today. Now normally groups would serve this as an IRC-only release, however the admins can’t get our fservers to work so there would be no one to serve it. If anyone has a server and would like to help distribute our releases, please come to our channel: #starryheaven @ irc.irchighway.net
I’d like to take the time to thank Kuinni for her wonderful scans for volume 2, nik for her hard work on the series back when she was working on it, and Ciel, eye, and AngelIvory for stepping in to help continue to bring this wonderful story to us. Also thanks to star_light for her wonderful QCing work! It’s a shame we have to say goodbye so soon, and while our links will stay up, I would like to encourage you all to purchase Hadashi de Bara wo Fume (it’s English title will be “Stepping on Roses”) when it’s available in bookstores next April. It’s also come to my attention that our popular Saboten no Himitsu by Nana Haruta will be out next March under the title “Cactus’ Secret.” Hope you all support Haruta and buy that as well! It’ll also be published by Viz Media.
This will be our final release of this project: Hadashi de Bara wo Fume volume 2 chapter 12. This is the final chapter in volume 2. Nozomu has confessed his love to Sumi, and now begins to show his more forcible, obssessive personality. Sumi continues to try to thwart his advances, but what can she, a poor woman, do against a man like that? She’s a lady! Will Sumi be able to escape from Nozomu when he’s determined to keep her?

EDIT: All further comments about kyousui moon, trying to organize ways to get the rest of this scanlated, and links to raws and whatnot will be DELETED. No, we will not pick it back up. There is no other reason behind this decision (we had a full staff) other than the fact that it’s licensed. Just think of our scanlations as a “two volume long teaser.”
Congratulations, nik!!
I’d like to take the time to congratulate nik on the birth of her beautiful baby boy! :D In her honor, we have a few releases for you (and a few that are still in the making but shall be released shortly)~ We at Starry Heaven hope you, your husband, and your son, Haris, live a long prosperous life and that he grows up to be a very honorable and lucky man.
Ciel: Yes I’m bringing out the fan *Dances with dancing fan* Yaaayy~~ The long awaited baby has come congrats Nik!! And i must say he is a bishie~:P already for a baby. May you both continue being healthy and enjoy manga, along with being happy together! XD
First we have the ending to our first joint with Aerandria, which nik belongs to as well: Adarshan no Hanayome volume 2 chapter 8: The Coming Spring & extra. Will Alexid’s brother ever awaken, or will the fate of the empire fall on his shoulders? Will there be war with Glaren, or will there be a peaceful resolution? Actually I don’t think we find that out but anyway…we hope you all, especially nik, enjoy the final chapter of Adarshan! :D
And next, we have a very cute oneshot: Momo volume 1 How to Save the World! Ren’s family is moving to another town, away from her boyfriend, but Ren’s afraid that she and her boyfriend won’t last, just like what happened with her sister. Will their love be able to survive all? Also included is an HQ version of the Momo volume 1 cover thanks to infinitylight. She’s also the awesome editor for Momo, so be sure to thank her because our Momo releases wouldn’t be what it is without her~

Wow it’s been a long past couple of days. @_@ I’ve been filling in for the receptionist at my dad’s work. It’s pretty easy work, but man, I don’t think I’ve recovered from having to get up so early every morning (7am). But I’ve been working pretty hard on some translations (Koi, Hirari) and getting a new irc channel set up! I believe it’s ready to be unleashed to the world, however there’s no one actually serving our releases at this time because I can’t get my fserv to work for some reason (can’t remember how to do the firewall walk around). Today our release is Fly High! volume 01 chapter 05. This chapter brings volume 1 to a close. Meru is determined to let the athletic festival happen. But how can she beat Kasumi and her inside connections to something as attractive as a fashion show with real models featured in a magazine? Finally you’ll all be able to find out how it all goes down, and enjoy the infamous cliffhanger most of you have already spoiled yourselves about at the end of this chapter…!
Recently we’ve had a few new awesome recruits in the proofreading and Japanese translating department, so I guess we’ll be cooking for a while in that department. However, we could still use some more editors!
